The film covers Toole’s youth and follows his life through his suicide, then continues with his eccentric mother’s tireless efforts to get Confederacy printed and includes the 25 year long struggle by some of Hollywood’s biggest and boldest to turn the book into a Hollywood film, which continues to this day. |
